Amsterdam markets are places within the city where you not only shop around but come to learn a lot about the city's specialties.

The markets here are extremely lively and colorful.

The market culture in Amsterdam started in the early 18th century when the first stall was established in the Jewish quarter in 1783.

At present, Amsterdam is proud to hold 12 daily outdoor markets, some specific markets which stay open only on certain days of the year and other markets which stay open only for two days in a week.
