There are more than fifty museums in Amsterdam for your interest. Thousands of visitors from all over the world are visiting the premises each day. Must See Amsterdam MuseumsArt And Architecture Museums in Amsterdam Rijksmuseum Amsterdam – This museum never falls short of visitors and admirers. It is quite a notable one in the whole city and consists of a matchless collection of Dutch arts.
These arts represent several religious beliefs and forms along with some masterpieces of the Golden era. The museum is located at Stadhouderskade 42 at the museum quarter. Stedelijk Museum – The place houses an exceptional civic collection of modern arts. Several art exhibitions are held here. Here at the back of the building you also get to see a fabulous sculpture garden. The present location of this museum is Oosterdokskade 5 and it is temporarily located in the harbor area quite close to the Central Station. Van Gogh Museum – In this particular museum, you get to enjoy the marvel of some 200 paintings and 550 sketches by Master Van Gogh.
Here you also get to see hundred of letters which Van Gogh has written to Theo. The museum is located at Paulus Potterstraat 7 at the museum quarter. Rembrandt house museum – Among the notable Amsterdam museums of art, Rembrandt house was the residential quarter of Rembrandt from 1639 to 1659. Apart from a huge collection of Rembrandt's arts, the edifice also houses an extensive collection of paintings of those who have much inspired Rembrandt for being the person he was. In this case, Pieter Lastman deserves special mention. The museum however, is located at Jodenbreestraat 4. Other notable museums for art and architecture include Civic Guards Gallery, Museum Willet-Holthuysen, Madame Tussauds, Museum Het Schip, De Appel, Amsterdam Centre for Architecture and De Kattenkabinet. This diary is marvelously displayed in the permanent exhibition of Anne Frank House, which enjoys a fabulous location at Prinsengracht 267, Jordaan quarter near Westerkerk. The Jewish Historical museum – This is one of the most notable historical museums of Amsterdam of the 17th century with rich and authentic collections. The museum depicts the history, religion and culture of the Jewish tribe of Netherlands in its essence. The Jewish Historical Museum has its place at Jonas Daniel Meijerplein 2-4. Allard Pierson Museum – It is one of those museums in Amsterdam where you will find massive archaeological collections. These collections are now owned by the University. This museum holds a wide collection of Egyptian, Greek, Cypriot, Roman, Etruscan and Coptic artifacts. Just visit Oude Turfmarkt 127 and you will find Oude Turfmarkt Allard Pierson Museum standing before you. Other notable historical Amsterdam museums include Amsterdam historical museum and Bijbelsmuseum. Museum Geelvinck Hinlopen Huis – This museum was previously a canal mansion, which was built by an influential merchant Albert Geelvinck in 1687. On Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 17:00 visitors come to see the rich and lush greenery, which wonderfully stands between the main house and the former carriage house. Hortus Botanicus - is another well-known Amsterdam museum of nature. Amsterdam museums are such worthy attractions of the city that any Netherlands tourist will not miss the opportunity of visiting one.
